A lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt, Dr Reginald Ohiri, who was abducted Monday night from his residence, has regained freedom without paying a ransom.
It will be recalled that, gunmen stormed his house Monday night and whisked the lecturer who teaches at the Biochemistry Department away. They contacted his family the following day and demanded the sum of N2m from them. But after questioning him thoroughly, they discovered he wasn’t their victim and freed him.
