The audiometric assessment phase of the Hearing Aid Support Project (HASP) of the MTN Foundation (MTNF) has flagged off in three states namely Akwa Ibom, Benue and Katsina.

Over 2,000 beneficiaries who were shortlisted for the exercise are undergoing the audiometric assessments by certified audiologists, ENT nurses and ENT Doctors to determine final successful beneficiaries.

The second phase of the assessment will take place in Anambra, Bauchi and Lagos State later in the week.

On completion of the assessment, the programming of hearing aids devices in line with various test results will begin in earnest. The actual distribution of hearing aids to  successful beneficiaries of the project will commence in May, 2016.
