Rivers State Commissioner for Water Resources, Ibibia Walter, kidnapped

Ahead of today’s legislative election in Rivers State, some unknown

gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the Rivers State Commissioner for
Water Resources, Chief Ibibia Walter.

This disclosure was made known on PDP Twitter handle Saturday morning.

The Commissioner was said to have been on his way to Okrika to participate in the election when he was reportedly kidnapped.

Meanwhile, DAILY POST correspondents reports that the Police Division in Okrika has denied any knowledge of the abduction, saying it’s yet to get any information to that effect, tagging the development a rumour.
