Bank Staff Who Try To Claim Dead Customer’s Millions Arrested

Bank staff known as Nicholas Anthony allegedly conspired with one Junior Walter and Akeem, to claim a late customer’s N32m immediately he heard about his death.
The thirty-six years-old processed the documents to claim the money as beneficiary at Eco Bank at Ilepo area in Ejigbo, Lagos where he worked.

Nicholas handed the documents to Walter to come to the bank and present it to the management for payment.
However, the management detected the scam because the late customer was well known to them and Walter was promptly arrested and handed over to the police.


Nicholas was also arrested and charged to court. When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety who must show evidence of tax payment and address verification.
