Last month, speculation was rife that Marc Anthony's marriage to Shannon De Lima was over when he shared a kiss with JLo onstage at the Latin Grammy Awards. The rumours have now been confirmed. In a statement to Us Weekly, the couple said: 'After much consideration, we have mutually and amicably decided to end our two year marriage.' 'We ask for privacy during this difficult process, and no further comments will be made from either one of us about this personal matter.'
Marc Anthony, 48 and Shannon De Lima, 28 were married for two years and have no children together. Before that he was married to Jlo, his third wife after Dayanara Torres and Maria Von Ritchie Lopez.
Prior to making their split official, rumours had it Marc wanted to get back with Jlo with whom he shares 8yr old twins, Max and Emme. According to a source close to Marc, he 'is trying to get back together with her.'
The source also disclosed that Jlo's split with Casper Smart was a turning point. They said: 'As soon as he heard Jennifer split with Casper, he wanted out.' Jennifer and Marc wed in 2004, split in 2011 and finalized their divorce in 2014.
