APC members in Ekiti state petitions police over alleged threats to their lives





APC members in Ekiti state have petitioned the state commissioner of Police, James Etop, alleging threat to their lives by some loyalists of the state governor, Ayo Fayose. A statement by the State Secretary, Omotoso Paul Ayodele, which was released yesterday July 3rd, alleged that Fayose's aides have concluded plans to attack them.

Ayodele in his statement, said the recent rally by some pro-Fayose group in the state last week turned violent after some of the protesters attacked the restaurant/bar operated by a staunch APC member, Ayoola Adetola, and began to break bottles of drinks at her shop.

Adetola, according to Ayodele, lost over N40,000 worth of drinks. Ayodele added that in the latest plot, two top APC members namely the party’s spokesman, Taiwo Olatunbosun, and a members of APC’s media team were being marked for attacks to keep them out of circulation.a
