Azealia Banks Claps Back To Skin-Bleaching Critics: “My P*ssy Is Still Purple”

By now, we’ve all seen the shocking photos of fiesty rapper Azealia Banks embracing the “skin” she’s in. The seemingly pro-black individual was pictured in Brazil after bleaching her skin, and of course social media went off on her!
But we all know Ms. Banks won’t be taken down quietly. She responded on Instagram in good Azealia fashion with a bizarre, but typical read.

Here’s a glimpse of how lit her comments are:

Although this was one of Banks’ craziest stunts pulled, she’s always been upfront about it. She allegedly tweeted about it once before.
According to The Mirror:
The 212 hitmaker has lashed out at a perception she is a “villainous evil black b*tch” and doesn’t understand why people only write about her when she is doing “bad things”. She tweeted: “Wow the media only pays attention when I’m doing bad things. While I’m still viewed as some sort of villainous evil black b*tch. Maybe I should bleach my skin? Then maybe I’ll start getting a bit more respect in hip-hop then …..(sic)”

Also, it’s been reported that Banks received her skin-altering procedure from the company Whitenicious. According to Bossip, here’s what company spokeswoman Rebecca Matamba had to say on behalf on Azealia’s backlash.
“She is just a beautiful woman experimenting and trying new things and she looks great,” the rep added. “People should focus on her talent instead of her skin. After all she’s in an industry where everyone is getting a little nip and tuck here and there, the difference is others lie about it but she is open about it, because it’s her body not anyone’s and people should focus on her music.”
