We will shut down Kano from Thursday – NLC

Chairman of the Kano State Chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kabiru Ado Minjibir, has stated that his members will join the nationwide strike from Thursday,
He told Daily Trust that the chapter had complied with directives on the strike action by its national body, adding that the strike did not take off yesterday due lack of communication with affiliate unions.

Minjibir said: “We held a meeting today and we have restrategized against the second day of the strike.
“We have directed all affiliate unions in the state to mobilize their members, and I can assure you, the strike will be effective tomorrow (Thursday).”
