According to the Manchester police department who took over security affairs as fans were evacuated calmly, the item was a training device left accidentally at the toilet on Wednesday by a private company after training.
The match will now be played on Tuesday. Manchester United have announced that tickets are still valid and fans that will be unable to make it on Tuesday will be refunded.
