Fuel Price Hike: NANS Threatens To Shut Down Campuses In Ekiti Tomorrow

The Ekiti State chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has threatened to shut down activities of the tertiary institutions  in the state on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 if the federal government refuses to revert the recent hike in the price of petrol.
Speaking via a statement issued over the weekend by it’s president, Shina Awopeju,  the students described the increment as ‘’cruel, wicked, insensitive and brazenly oppressive.”
Awopeju went on to say the ‘unwarranted’ increase would exacerbate the level of inflation in the already debased economy and exert untold hardship on poor Nigerians.
