Catfish star, Ashley Sawyer has died. The death of the 23-year old remains unknown. She appeared on the Season 2 of the MTV show and they are currently mourning her.
MTV said; "MTV is deeply saddened to learn that Ashley Sawyer has passed away. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends," they said in a statement.
Ashley appeared on the same season as Michael Fortunato. Both Ashley and Michael had been "catfishing" each other for several months in the episode. It would be recalled that Fortunato died of a pulmonary embolism at age 26, one month after their episode aired.
