The Lagos State Scholarship Board has scheduled its 2016/2017 scholarship award examination for April 12 and 13.
The board’s Public Relations Officer, Adeyemi Adetoro, announced this in a statement on Monday.
The statement said the scholarship was strictly for indigent students of the state origin in tertiary institutions across the country.
It said the sale of form, which started on February 22, would close on April 8.
It added that the examination would be in both Paper Pencil Test and Computer-Based Test.
The board asked applicants interested in taking part in the screening test to pay N2,000 and obtain a receipt for the form.
It stated: “All payment should be made at the Office of the Special Adviser on Education, Block 5, Room 314, the Lagos State Government Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.
“Thereafter, voucher PIN will be obtained at Lagos State Scholarship Board, 254, Ipaja Road, besides NYSC Orientation Camp, Agege.
“The PIN will be used by candidates to log on to www.scholastica.ng to register.
“Completed application forms must be submitted online along with scanned copies of Treasury receipt for the Local scholarship form and letter of admission/confirmation of studentship from school authority.
“Progress reports duly stamped and signed with minimum required Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate schools with CGPA of 7.0, a minimum point of 4.6/7.0 is eligible.
“School with maximum CGPA of 5.0, a minimum point of 3.5/5.0 is eligible and schools with maximum CGPA of 4.0, a minimum point of 3.0/5.0 is eligible.”
Other requirements are school identification card, library card or health identity card and Senior Secondary Certificate Examination result.
The statement also said post-graduate applicants (Master’s level) in addition to the documents above, must possess a minimum of second class upper or its equivalent in their first degree, with National Youth Service Corps discharge certificate or exemption letter, which must be uploaded.
“Applicants will be invited for oral interview after the examination,” the statement added.
