I sell children for N100, 000 – Kidnap suspect

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Taraba State Command, has arrested one Adamu Bello for allegedly abducting two children.

The suspect was arrested with the two kids in Angwan Yandan area of Jalingo, the state capital.

Confirming the arrest to newsmen on Tuesday, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. Kamilu Isah urged parents to keep watch on their children and peers to guard against such act.

He said, “The suspect has been in this business of abducting and selling of children for quite a long time.

“Our preliminary investigations revealed that Adamu Bello was a specialist in this ugly act and has admitted to have committed the crime.

“Bello disclosed his past transactions during interrogation,” the Commandant said, adding that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

The suspect is reported to have admitted being in the business for several years, adding that he sells children depending on their age.

“From 6 months to 10 years, I sell for N100, 000, while teenagers are usually sold between N150, 000 and N300, 000,” the suspect reportedly confessed, revealing that male children sold higher than females.
