Super falcons assistant coach Perpetua Nwokocha has brushed aside reports suggesting that she is nervous to lead the team. Nwokocha is assistant to coach, Florence Omagbemi.

It is an opportunity for me to make positive contributions to the team and I am happy to be part of it,” she said.

The current coach of Swedish side, Clemensnas said that she would join the team from her base in Sweden behind schedule owing to commitments with her club. It can be recalled that the 40 year old represented Nigeria in Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympic games.
