The Prosecutor, Sgt. Maria Dauda, told the court that the offence was committed on August 18, 2015 at about midnight at 1, Falana Street, Ogombo, Lekki area of Lagos.
Dauda said the accused and the deceased, Edet Ebong, 33, had engaged themselves in a fight and in the process, she picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed the deceased on his stomach.
According to the prosecutor, the offence contravened Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
In her ruling, the Chief Magistrate of the Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Mrs. B.O. Folarin-William, said the accused should be remanded in prison custody in Ikoyi pending when the case will be filed at the appropriate court.
The magistrate adjourned the case till April 4 for mention.
