Reps summon ex-minister over $24bn oil contracts

The invitation, according to report, is in connection with the $24billion crude oil swap contracts.
The House of Representatives Committee on Crude Oil Swap has invited the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, to appear before it on March 2, 2016, Punch reports.
The invitation, according to report, is in connection with the $24billion crude oil swap contracts.

The committee led by Mr. Zakari Mohammed, was said to have dispatched the letter of invitation to Alison Madueke today, February 22.
It is not however clear if the former minister is back in Nigeria from London, where she is said to be receiving treatment for cancer.
The Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had last week Wednesday, February 17, arrested the former minister's husband, Mr. Alison Amaechina Madueke, over alleged $600,000 money laundering. He was released on administrative bail the same day.
